Question 1 of 4

What type of cleaning do you need?

A move-in clean is a deep clean of the empty home, done before your things arrive. We clean inside the cabinets and drawers. We clean inside the oven and fridge. We scrub the baths, wipe the baseboards, and mop every floor. When the boxes come in, they land in a home that is clean from day one.

An empty home in Apopka needs more than a wipe-down. Homes that sat shut up grow musty fast in wet air. Well-water taps crust while no one wipes them. We check for both, treat what cleaning can treat, and tell you plain if we find a bigger issue, like a leak or mold past the surface.

What is included

Room by room

Kitchen. We clean inside every cabinet and drawer, since your dishes go there first. The oven and fridge are cleaned inside, shelves and seals too. Counters are scrubbed and the sink is shined. If well water has crusted the tap, we treat it. You should be able to cook the first night and feel good about it.

Bathrooms. Someone else's bath is the room new owners trust least, so we scrub it hard. Toilet, tub, and shower get a full scrub and rinse. Grout and seals get mildew treatment. Mirror, taps, and glass are cleaned and de-scaled. By the time your towels hang, the room feels like yours.

Bedrooms and closets. We wipe closet shelves and rods, dust the fans and vents, and vacuum or mop the floors. Baseboards get wiped — they hold dust and pet hair from the last owners. Windowsills are cleaned, since they catch pollen and grit when a home sits shut.

Living areas. We dust from the top down: fans, vents, shelf tops, and trim. Sliders and tracks are cleaned out. Floors are vacuumed and mopped. If the home has a lanai, we sweep it and wipe the door glass, so the first night feels open and bright, not closed and stale.

Whole-home checks. A shut-up Florida home can hide issues. We note musty smells that do not clear, stains that hint at leaks, and any spot that looks like mold past the surface. We tell you what we found, in plain words. What cleaning can fix, we fix. What it can not, you hear about on day one, not month three.

Products and tools we use

For an empty home we bring the deep-clean kit: mineral cleaner for well-water crust, mildew treatment, a degreaser for the kitchen, and scrubs and brushes for grout. We also bring a HEPA vacuum. A vacant home holds fine dust that stirs up fast when a vacuum without a good filter runs through it.

Since no one lives there yet, we can air the home as we work — doors and fans on while it is safe to do so. That clears the shut-up smell at its source. By the time we lock up, the home smells like clean air and mild soap, not like a closed box in the Florida heat.

Our process

Six steps, the same on each visit, so you know just what to expect.

  1. Book around your closing date. Tell us when you get the keys. The best slot is after the last owners are out and before your movers come in. End of the month books fast, so send the form early.
  2. Walk us through the scope. Tell us the size of the home and its state. Well water? Pets in the home before? Vacant long? That shapes the quote and the time we book.
  3. Get one written price. Empty homes are quick to scope. We give one clear price in writing. If we find worse than scoped, we message you before we add work or cost.
  4. We clean the empty home. Cabinets, appliances, baths, floors — the full list, top to bottom. No furniture in the way means a deeper, faster clean than any lived-in home can get.
  5. We check and report. We look for mustiness, stains, and leak hints as we go. You get a plain report of what we found and what we treated. No soft sell, just the facts.
  6. You move into clean. Your movers bring the boxes into a home that is ready. Most clients then set a two-week rhythm to keep it that way from the start.

Vacant in Florida: what we check

A vacant Apopka home can go downhill in weeks. Wet air moves into shut rooms. Mildew starts on grout and seals. Well-water taps stain with no one wiping them. A home can look fine in photos and still smell shut-up and feel damp when you walk in. Our move-in clean is built for that exact set of facts.

We air the rooms, treat surface mildew, and treat mineral stains at the taps and glass. We also keep our eyes open. If a stain map on a ceiling hints at a roof leak, or a soft spot shows near a tub, we say so. You would rather hear it from us on day one than find it after the beds are made.

A note on prices: each home is priced on its size, its state, and how often we come. Every project is different — contact us for a free written estimate. The price we write down before the visit is the price you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should the clean be before or after the movers?

Before, if you can. An empty home gets a deeper and faster clean, since we can reach every floor, cabinet, and corner. Book the slot between the last load out and your first load in. If the movers must come first, we can still clean around stacked boxes, but the empty-home clean is the better job.

Can you fix a musty smell in a vacant home?

Most of the time, yes. Surface mustiness comes from shut rooms and damp air. Airing the home, wiping the surfaces, and treating mildew clears it. If the smell comes from a deeper source, like wet drywall or a bad AC drain, we tell you plain. Cleaning can not fix a leak, and we will not pretend it can.

Is a move-in clean the same as a deep clean?

It is a deep clean plus the empty-home extras: inside every cabinet and drawer, inside closets, and the checks a vacant home needs. A lived-in deep clean skips most cabinet and closet work, since your things are in them. Both share the same baseboards, grout, and appliance work. The move-in list is the fuller list.

We just bought a new build. Do we need this?

A new build needs post-construction cleaning, which is a different job. New homes are coated in fine build dust that needs HEPA care and a damp-wipe method. If your new home was a model or sat staged for a while, a move-in clean may be right. Tell us the story of the home and we will point you to the right clean.

How fast can you schedule a move-in clean?

Most weeks, within a few days. The end of the month is the tight spot, since closings stack up. Send the form when you have your closing date, even if it may shift. We hold the slot and move it if the date moves. A home left clean and empty for a day or two is fine — the clean holds.

Do you clean rental homes between tenants for owners?

Yes. Owners and landlords book us for turns all the time. We clean to the lease list, treat water stains, and flag damage that is past cleaning. Many owners set a standing plan with us, so each turn is booked as soon as a tenant gives notice. Ask when you book your clean.
