Question 1 of 4

What type of cleaning do you need?

After a build or a remodel, the home looks done but feels like dust. Fine dust coats the floors, the shelves, the tops of the doors — even rooms the crew never worked in. Post-construction cleaning is the slow work that takes that dust out, so the home is fit to live in, not just to look at.

Apopka is growing fast, with new homes off the 429 and remodels in the older streets. Both leave the same film. Our method is built for it: HEPA vacuum first, damp wipe second, detail last. Dry dusting just moves the dust around. We take it out of the home for good.

What is included

Room by room

Kitchen. Build dust gets in each cabinet and drawer, so we vacuum them all, then wipe them. Counters are wiped twice: once to lift the film, once to finish. Appliances are wiped in and out, and labels and film come off new units. The sink and tap are polished. When we are done, you can stock the shelves the same day.

Bathrooms. New baths come with grout haze, dust, and spots of paint or sealant. We scrub the tub, shower, and toilet. We lift grout haze from tile with the right cleaner. Glass and mirrors are cleaned and polished. Taps lose their labels and film. The room ends clean and bare, ready for towels and soap.

Bedrooms and living areas. Dust hides high: on fans, vents, shelf tops, and the tops of doors and trim. We work top to bottom with the HEPA vacuum, then damp-wipe the ledges and trim. Closets are vacuumed and wiped, shelves too. Floors get vacuumed in two passes, since fine dust works into carpet pile and tile grout.

Windows and sliders. New and remodeled homes have paint flecks, stickers, and dust on the glass. We clean the glass in and out where we can reach it, wipe the frames, and clear the tracks of grit and drywall dust. Sliders that grind on grit now glide. It is a small thing that makes the home feel new, not just cleaned.

Floors throughout. We never flood a floor after a build. Fine dust plus a wet mop makes mud. Floors are vacuumed well first, then mopped in small zones with clean water. Tile grout gets a scrub where dust has packed in. Wood and laminate get a gentle clean with the right product for new floors.

Products and tools we use

The key tool is a true HEPA vacuum. Cheap filters blow fine dust back into the air, and it lands again in a day. HEPA traps it. We also bring microfiber cloths used damp, soft scrapers for paint spots, and mild cleaners that are safe on new paint and new stone. New surfaces scratch and stain with ease, so the gentle kit matters here.

We work in stages as dust settles. Air dust falls for hours after a room is worked. So we do the rough pass first, then the detail pass, then a last fine pass at the end of the job. That staging is the gap between a home that looks clean for a day and one that stays clean.

Our process

Six steps, the same on each visit, so you know just what to expect.

  1. Tell us the scope of the build. New build, full remodel, or one room? Square feet and floor types shape the quote. Tell us if paint is fresh — fresh paint needs a soft touch and no harsh goods.
  2. Get one written price. Post-construction work prices on size and dust load, not on a clock. One clear price in writing before we start. If we find a mess past scope, we message you first.
  3. Rough pass: dust out. We HEPA-vacuum the whole home: floors, sills, ledges, cabinets, and closets. Bulk dust and grit leave the home in this pass. Cobwebs and loose debris go too.
  4. Damp-wipe pass. Walls, trim, doors, and shelves get a damp wipe to lift the film a vacuum leaves. Paint and glue spots are softened and lifted with care for new surfaces.
  5. Detail pass. Baths and kitchen are scrubbed and polished. Glass, tracks, fixtures, and vents get detail work. Stickers and labels come off new fixtures and glass.
  6. Final fine pass and check. After the dust has had time to settle, we do a last light pass on floors and ledges. Then we walk the home with you or send photos. The home is ready to live in.

New-build dust in a growing town

Apopka is one of the fast-growing towns in the Orlando area. New streets keep going up near the 429, and older homes get new kitchens and baths each month. All of that work leaves fine dust — drywall dust, saw dust, tile dust — and it drifts far past the room that was worked on. Weeks later, it still coats the shelves in rooms the crew never touched.

That dust is also gritty. Wipe it dry with the wrong cloth and it can scratch new floors and new stone. Our method — HEPA first, damp cloths, no floods, no harsh goods — is made for new surfaces. Builders hand us homes at the end of jobs for this reason. The home you paid to build should feel new on day one, not dusty for a month.

A note on prices: each home is priced on its size, its state, and how often we come. Every project is different — contact us for a free written estimate. The price we write down before the visit is the price you pay.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from a deep clean?

The goal is dust removal, not grime removal. A deep clean fights grease, stains, and buildup in a lived-in home. A post-construction clean fights fine dust, paint spots, and labels in a new or remodeled space. The tools differ too: HEPA vacuum and damp wipes lead here. If your remodeled home was lived in during the work, you may need a bit of both, and we will scope it honestly.

When should the clean happen in the build plan?

After the crew is done and the final paint has had time to cure, and before furniture comes in. If trades still need to come back for touch-ups, wait — their work makes new dust. Many clients book us the day after the final walk-through with the builder. Book early in busy months; builders stack completions at month end.

Can you clean just the remodeled rooms?

Yes, but know that dust drifts. A kitchen remodel dusts the halls, the living room, and often the beds. We scope the rooms you name, then check the near rooms with you. Most clients end up adding the drift zone once they see the film on the shelves. We price the added rooms in writing before we touch them.

Is the dust a health issue for kids or pets?

Fine build dust is not good to breathe, and drywall and saw dust can stir up airways. Our HEPA and damp method takes the dust out rather than stirring it up. We suggest kids and pets stay out of the home while we work, and come back once the final pass is done and the air has settled. The home will smell of mild soap, not of a work site.

Do you remove paint spots and stickers?

Yes. Paint flecks on floors, glass, and fixtures are softened and lifted with care for the surface under them. Stickers and labels come off new appliances, windows, and fixtures. Heavy paint spills or dried glue past a small scale may need the painter, and we will tell you plain if a spot is past what cleaning can fix.

How long does a post-construction clean take?

A full new home can take a full day or more, in stages. A one-room remodel is a half-day job most of the time. Dust load drives the time: a home with lots of drywall work takes more passes than a floor swap. We quote the time with the price, and we stage the work so the final pass lands after the dust settles.
